Marianne channelled an early obsession with Fred Astaire and Ginger Rodgers into a fascination for all things 'party-related.' By the age of 10, she could be found consumately planning her birthday parties and playing 'restaurant' with her friends. It was important to her that every- thing went together from the menu, to the tablecloths, to the flatware. At the age of 15 one of her best friends' suggested that the perfect career for her would be someone who walks into a room and knows exactly what ambiance to set. Little did she know that this job actually existed. Marianne took her passion to the next level by graduating with a BA in theatre and costume design from Beloit College.
